VALUES EXERCISE

Take 15 minutes and identify your values. First, circle all the values, or write down all the values that are important to you. Then, narrow it down to 10 values, then to 5 values, then to 3 values. You can have more than 3 values, but it’s easier to remember and focus, when we keep it to 3.

These values are important to you both personally and professionally.

Go with your intuition and don’t overthink it.

You can group values and rename with a word that’s more representative.

As you narrow from 10 to 5 to 3 values, you are identifying what’s MORE important to you, rather than saying that values are not important to you. All of the values may be important to you; this exercise is to identify what’s most important to you and what guides your life.

You can replace words that have more meaning to you.

Have fun - really think about what’s important to you!
